Salary: £31,030–£41,980 per annum

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join our team at Holder House in Abingdon.

Holder House is a residential service supporting people to recognise when they may be becoming unwell and take preventative steps to reduce the risk of relapse. We work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide personalised, one-to-one support tailored to individual needs.

We support people from across the country who have severe and enduring mental health conditions, including individuals with complex risk and forensic histories. Referrals come from a range of sources, including hospitals and community mental health teams, creating a varied and rewarding environment with a diverse range of support needs.

As Team Manager, you will provide effective leadership and operational oversight to frontline staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality services. You will demonstrate our organisational values, ambition and commitment while supporting your team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

Please note that this is a site-based role at Holder House in Abingdon.

What You’ll Do

In addition to the duties outlined in the full Job Description, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing effective line management for the Recovery Team.
  • Offering strong leadership and operational oversight to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Driving innovation across your team and leading initiatives to enhance performance and outcomes.
  • Leading and developing your workstream offer in response to service needs.
  • Facilitating individual and group supervision and leading appropriate meetings in line with your workstreams.
  • Delivering training and coaching to support staff development and promote best practice.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of partnership working and referral pathways.
  • Actively contributing as a member of the management team and supporting service-wide decision-making.

What You’ll Need

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Management Experience: Previous management or supervisory experience is required, preferably within mental health, social care, supported housing, health and social care, or another related sector.
  • Leadership: Experience of leading, managing and motivating staff to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Customer Service: A strong commitment to excellent service delivery and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Service Delivery: The ability to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure people receive timely, appropriate and high-quality support.
  • Data & Reporting: Confidence in preparing reports, monitoring performance and undertaking statistical analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to respond effectively to challenges.
  • Adaptability: The flexibility to respond to evolving service needs and contribute to the development of new pathways and ways of working.
