OVERVIEW:

We are continuing to grow our team and are looking for a temporary (12-month) Team Manager. Working in a flexible work style arrangement, with the guidance of the Manager of Claims Services, the Team Manager is responsible for empowering a team of dynamic of highly engaged individuals, while improving and developing exceptional service delivery and processes related to claim adjudication in an effective, collaborative, and client-focused manner. This individual should possess superb leadership and interpersonal skills, thrive on challenge, be self-driven and passionate about delivering end-to-end customer-driven solutions. This position embraces relationship building, project management, curiosity, and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Identify solutions to meet department and division strategies, as well as customer concerns, in line with the operational plan and work with senior management and other stakeholders in developing and executing

  • Track team and individual metrics, mentor and develop team members to meet operating and production goals, providing regular feedback. Guide, support and contribute to the performance and learning plans for team members.

  • Create a positive working environment that inspires productivity and is conducive to innovation. Recommends changes to policy and procedures that would benefit efficiency in the department.

  • Lead projects, ensuring timely completion, and assisting in change management.

  • Research and analyze information to resolve elevated complex inquires or unique situations. Resolve escalations, complaints, and inquiries of a complex nature.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • 3- 5 years of experience in a corporate environment, healthcare, service delivery or related areas

  • Demonstrated competence and willingness for further development in the context of the leadership framework.

  • Experience in a leadership role would be an asset, especially with virtual teams.

  • Must have strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Decision making abilities as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are a must.

  • Ability to speak to trends, stats, and claim experience.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate conflict resolution skills.

  • Must have demonstrated initiative, results orientation, and dedication to continuous improvement.

  • Commitment to quality customer service is required for success in this position.  This includes the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to meet the challenges of heavy workloads and frequent change.
