Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Due to staff movements, we have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our busy Christchurch branch! With a focus on operational efficiency and building a strong team culture, this is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the centre of all activity.
Shift: Monday – Friday 10.00am – 6.30pm
About the role - Mō te tūranga
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and direction of freight handling, staff training and related activities to provide quality service to internal and external customers.
Key duties include:
- Staff training and related activities to provide quality service to customers
- Operate forklifts, unloading & loading of units
- Develop working relationships with customers
- Schedule and conduct team briefings daily
- Ensure all freight are properly identified, re origin and destination
- Make sure scanning of freight is done properly
- Actively promote health and safety through daily team huddles
What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?
- Full Class 1 license – must have
- Hold a current F and OSH endorsed forklift license – must have
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisor role
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Transport, Freight and Logistics
- Ability to coach and grow others
