Job Description
Service details:
- NEC manage the Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) on behalf of our client the Welsh Government.
- The DAF team award clients with cash, grants and white goods to individuals experiencing financial hardship.
- Our core function is to verify and resolve grant applications against set criteria
- We help customers over the phone, online and by email.
The Role:
- Leadership approach that can nurture effective working relationships with teammates
- Supporting the DAF Service Manager in: -
- Improving performance of advisors.
- Identify and escalate gaps in business processes.
- Identify critical actions to ensure stretched goals are achieved by advisors.
- Monitoring daily / weekly / monthly / annual team performance.
- Identify individual performance opportunities for improvement.
Candidate Attributes
- Support the DAF Service Manager in updating NEC and partner systems with appropriate recoding of performance metrics
- Implement operational processes by conducting a 'trial and improvement' approach to instigate further.
- Maintain a high level of communication with team members and DAF Service Manager.
- Aid and support in cross functional projects as business needs change.
- Promote a healthy and inclusive working environment.
Qualifications
Learning and Development:
- The successful candidate will be required to enroll and complete a Management and Development Qualification, overseen by NEC. In addition to this, they will also complete the Insights Profile Course.

- Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. Documentary evidence will be required.
