The primary objective of the Warehouse Support specialization within the Supply Chain Job Family is to support the global sales network by ensuring the timely delivery of components and products to both internal and external customers, as well as to maintain accurate and efficient inventory management.
Key responsibilities include:
Warehouse Operations
Ensure effective receipt, verification, sorting, and storage of goods in accordance with ResMed’s Quality and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Perform picking and packing activities for order fulfilment, including work order picking, product issuing, and transfer processing.
Handle product movement within the warehouse to support manufacturing and distribution needs.
Coordinate import and export activities in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Support distribution center activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders.
Inventory & Material Control
Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation, stock rotation, and cycle counting.
Ensure the security, accountability, and traceability of materials and goods.
Identify delivery or inventory-related issues and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency and service levels.
Planning & Resource Coordination
Support the development and maintenance of master schedules related to transportation, warehousing, and operational cost-effectiveness.
Analyze resource needs and ensure that items are packaged according to specifications and production requirements.
Leadership & Team Management
Provide direct supervision to a team of semi-skilled employees (e.g., material handlers, operators, clerical staff).
Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, check work at regular intervals, and maintain operational schedules.
Spend part of the time performing hands-on tasks alongside the team to ensure smooth operations.
Implement strategic and operational objectives that align with organizational goals.
Interact daily with cross-functional teams such as Production, Engineering, Planning, and 3PL partners to resolve issues and coordinate activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, or inventory management.
Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse processes, policies, and best practices.
Ability to analyze data and derive insights from readily available information.
Strong understanding of applicable practices and procedures related to warehouse and supply chain operations.
