We are looking for a Team Lead in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work in an AWS hosted environment using Postgres (SQL) docker and Java (including Spring framework) with web UI environment using Angular. All our systems are interrelated using queues and REST API.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in software development 7+ years related experience and/or training
- At least 5 years of good architecture design experience with modern patterns and object-oriented design. This should include experience using queue services and potentially event streaming architecture.
- At least 3+ years’ experience in a senior role using front-end UI technologies: HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS 3 as well as a web framework Angular2+ preferred or similar contemporary web framework. Client-side tools & frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, D3(Nice to have).
- At least 5+ years of technical experience with emphasis in Java and Spring Framework, Core Java, or similar languages in different stacks.
- Java/J2EE 1.5+: JDBC, File I/O, Advanced Java, Multi-Threading, Collections (min 2 years). Spring Web MVC, Spring Boot, Apache ActiveMQ
- Thorough understanding and experience in microservices development, especially for front-end components. As well as technologies to enable inter-communications with the services.
- Database technologies - SQL
- Designing RESTful API endpoints, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger, HTTP protocol
- Developing web services: REST, SOAP, WSDL, Apache CXF, Apache Axis.
- Database knowledge - SQL, Oracle 19c, Postgres.
- Client-side tools & frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, D3(Nice to have).
- Agile/Scrum Software development methodologies (min 2 years)
- Unix/Linux environments
- Linux Shell scripting (2+ years)

o Good analytical, verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills due to the number of internal customers they will be required to support
What will you be doing in this role?
o Ability to guide and manage backend and front-end developers through a project.
o Focused on results and delivering key features to the project users.
o Ability to manage a project and intervene at all levels of the project to make sure the project runs smoothly: Talk to users, create requirements, create technical requirements, review implementation, and make sure conform to quality standards, help with testing.
o Proficient in timely and efficient communication is a must.
o Analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of applications using key skills in a cross-functional team, project-based environment.
o Contributing to and review of functional, design and technical documentation and specifications, and to project plans.
o Attending and contributing to code and design reviews. Ensuring changes are carried out because of these reviews.
o Ensure that all tasks undertaken are completed to a quality standard. This includes delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
o Maintain and optimize existing programs, working within a development team to develop additional functionality to existing systems.
o To deputize for team members / your line manager as and when required.
o To take responsibility for identifying training and developmental needs for yourself and team on an on-going basis.
o To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager/director on a permanent or temporary basis
About the Team
You will be joining a team responsible for creating and maintaining internal tools which allows the company to take unstructured data available on the internet into structured data which can then be cross referenced and analyzed. The data will be exposed to multiple products which are in term provided to our customers. You will be interacting with other teams in creating a service mesh structure which communicate through asynchronous queue services hosted in AWS.
