*Supervise staff at varying levels: including recruiting, hiring, coaching, mentoring and training to ensure solid staff development and effective talent management.br*Manage and oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner. This will include the performance of detailed research and analysis of differences in the accounts, as well as working directly with operational personnel to analyze issues, determine the impact and to resolve variances.br*Oversee Portfolio administration: ensure accurate and timely publications; coordinate and assist with month end closing process including timely and accurate preparation and review of journal entries, trial balances, and month end reporting.br*Manage team’s administrative processes: to include supervising the team’s support staff or Jr. Accountant; work with Director, Senior Manager and/or supervisors to ensure consistent administration and consistent processes across portfolios.br*Assist with internal and external auditsbr*Provide accounting guidance to operational personnel.br*Work directly with operational personnel to gain an understanding of the processes behind assigned accounts.br*Review and analyze account reconciliations and the Settlement process flow.br*Document accounting processes and procedures to ensure that they comply with company guidelines and recommend process flow improvements where needed. Identify and implement efficiencies, controls and eliminate non-value added work.br* Lead, oversee and assist team in effective Project management.br*Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.*Expert knowledge of accounting principles and practices.br*Strong critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems.br*Ability to make accurate, independent decisions based on data provided.br*Ability to understand the financial impact of decisions made and balances them with customer satisfaction.br*Must be proactive, detailed and results oriented.br*Must be able to interact with all levels within the organization.
