For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
Global Head of Data Integrity, Scheme Compliance
We are looking for a senior, strategic, and execution oriented leader to head the Global Data Integrity pillar within Scheme Compliance. This role sits at the intersection of card-network compliance, transaction data quality, data security, and operational risk focused on ensuring Adyen manages network data-integrity and data-security programs through strong second-line oversight, scalable governance, and commercially pragmatic decision making, while partnering closely with first-line teams responsible for day-to-day operational execution.
You will lead a globally distributed team of Compliance Officers responsible for the governance and oversight of card-network programs related to transaction data integrity, PCI and related security standards, and breach-related financial recovery. This includes setting global standards, driving internal accountability, overseeing remediation frameworks, and partnering closely with Risk, Engineering, Product, Legal, Operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure Adyen manages these obligations consistently and effectively.
As the Global Data Integrity Lead, you will act as the senior second-line owner for how Adyen interprets, governs, and evolves its approach to programs such as PCI, VEP, C-VEP, DIMP, GCAR, VARS, and DISC, as well as related data-security and data-integrity obligations across the card networks. You will define strategy, set governance expectations, guide escalations, and ensure consistent oversight across regions and teams.
In addition to leading Data Integrity globally, this role will serve as the APAC Regional Lead for Scheme Compliance, acting as the senior representative on the ground and a trusted extension of global leadership in the region. In this capacity, you will provide visibility into local dynamics and help connect global priorities to commercial, legal, product, partner, and network realities. Matrixed regional leadership roles commonly include dotted-line coordination and regional stakeholder alignment across functional teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, develop, and scale a globally distributed team of Compliance Officers focused on Data Integrity, including card-network programs related to transaction data quality, PCI and related security standards, breach response, and financial recovery.
- Define the global Data Integrity strategy for Scheme Compliance, including second-line governance, escalation paths, oversight standards, remediation frameworks, and decision-making processes.
- Own the second-line oversight model for card-network programs such as PCI, VEP, C-VEP, DIMP, GCAR, VARS, and DISC, ensuring consistent governance across regions and teams.
- Build scalable frameworks for program governance, compliance validation, remediation oversight, breach-related recovery tracking, documentation, and control effectiveness across data-integrity and data-security programs.
- Partner closely with first-line teams, Risk, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Commercial to ensure program obligations are clearly understood, operationalized effectively, and managed consistently.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex or sensitive issues involving transaction data accuracy, data-security deficiencies, breach-related obligations, or network compliance exposure.
- Translate network requirements into internal policies, procedures, governance routines, and tooling needs that improve consistency, defensibility, and audit readiness.
- Drive cross-functional governance programs to strengthen Adyen’s approach to PCI compliance, data-integrity requirements, security remediation, and financial recovery processes.
- Identify systemic issues, recurring themes, or control gaps across data-integrity and data-security programs and convert those insights into policy, process, or control improvements.
- Oversee network reporting or submissions where applicable, ensuring external obligations are met accurately and on time.
- Represent Adyen externally with card networks, financial partners, and other stakeholders on data-integrity matters, escalations, remediation, and governance expectations.
- Build playbooks, reporting routines, and training materials that improve organizational fluency in Data Integrity topics and strengthen accountability across teams.
- Serve as the senior Scheme Compliance stakeholder for APAC across Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, Risk, Product, and other key functions, providing regional leadership, visibility, and decision support on strategic and escalated matters.
- Act as the regional lead for Scheme Compliance in APAC, helping translate global strategy into regional execution and ensuring local market context is reflected in global decisions and priorities.
- Provide leadership to dotted-line team members across the broader Scheme Compliance organization in APAC, driving alignment, coordination, and consistency across pillars and regional initiatives.
Who you are
- 8+ years of experience in payments, fintech, financial services, compliance, risk, information security, or similarly cross-functional domains.
- Proven experience leading and developing globally distributed teams in high-growth or operationally complex environments.
- Deep understanding of card-network data-integrity, PCI, or information-security programs and the governance models required to manage them effectively.
- Strong knowledge of transaction data quality requirements, PCI-related standards, data-security remediation, and breach-related compliance obligations.
- Ability to translate complex network obligations into scalable governance models, internal controls, reporting routines, and cross-functional operating processes.
- Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to support business growth while protecting Adyen’s network standing, risk posture, and exposure to financial recovery or data-compromise impacts.
- Experience engaging directly with card networks, financial partners, auditors, or senior internal stakeholders on complex compliance or risk matters.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across Compliance, Risk, Engineering, Product, Legal, Operations, and Commercial.

Why Work With Us
At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. We started with payments, at a time when providers offered services based on a patchwork of systems built on outdated infrastructure.
