We are seeking a Team Lead Product (m/f/d) for our BI APP Team, responsible to drive innovation for our Product Recommendation, Sorting, AI, and Personalized Content - with the goal to identify scalable, flexible, and customizable features, that enhance and personalize the shopping experience at AY.

Our Business Intelligence Team is part of the Circle Cluster “Customer & Shop Intelligence” and provides personalized recommendations & product sorting to our customers based on their consuming behavior. We work with over 1 million real-time API calls per hour and a huge amount of data to provide the best shopping experience to our customers!

What you will do

  • Manage independently our Business Intelligence - Application Team and mainly take responsibility for your team’s output as well as E2E feature conception & planning
  • Steer an experienced development team within AY’s agile working culture (SCRUM, Kanban) - organize and moderate agile meetings (e.g. standup, planning, retrospective, feature demonstrations, etc.) 
  • Identify opportunities to improve our products and take over the responsibility of the feature delivery pipeline (e.g. gather requirements, write tickets, support with decisions and implementation, ensure release quality, and measure the outcome of changes)
  • Work data-driven, based on reports and analyses for deriving actions that are truly oriented towards our customers' needs
  • Responsible for the Management of and communication with all relevant stakeholders
  • Understand stakeholder demands, needs, and issues - translate them into actionable & feasible product requirements and build a scalable tech solution
  • Triaging operative issues, identifying technical dependencies, and evaluating business impact
  • Lead cross-team projects and collaborate closely with other Tech Teams (e.g. App, Web, Shop Analytics, etc.) to execute E2E solutions


Who you are


  • 7 - 10 years of experience in Product Management in a software development environment (preferred: backend-oriented), and at least 2 years of Team Leadership experience
  • Experience with agile environments and collaborating with Developers, Data Scientists, and QA Managers 
  • Deep understanding of technology, business processes, and functional dependencies 
  • E-commerce experience (preferably retail)
  • Experience in IT project management, leading cross-team initiatives
  • You have a proactive attitude, want to take responsibility for your decisions, and go the extra mile when needed
  • You are comfortable working in an international working environment
  • You have excellent communication (in English) skills and can easily put yourself in someone else’s perspective
  • You are analytical, data-driven, and focused on efficiency and solutions
  • You are detail-oriented and customer-focussed
