Team Lead General Ledger (f/m/d)

• Team Leadership: Responsible for a six-person General Ledger and Asset Accounting team based in Weinheim and Kaiserslautern – with a focus on clear communication, structure, and collaborative leadership

• Financial Statements: Steering and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS for six legal entities – including coordination with external auditors and the corporate group

• Technical Expertise: Acting as a go-to person for complex accounting topics, including provisions, asset accounting, and queries from the group environment

• Systems & Interfaces: Global maintenance of accounts and balance sheet structures across numerous SAP companies within the business group; ensuring smooth operations in SAP FI and AA (currently R/3, preparing for S/4HANA), including optimization of interfaces and reporting processes

• Digitalization: Actively shaping the ongoing development of the team’s work organization (e.g., documentation, filing, automation)

• Educational Background: Degree in business administration or completed commercial training with additional qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant

• Professional Experience: Several years of experience in external accounting, ideally in a leadership role with responsibility for statutory financial statements

• System Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP FI and AA; basic understanding of related modules (CO, MM, SD) is a plus

• Language Skills: Fluent German (written and spoken) and solid English for regular communication in an international environment

• Leadership Style: Clear and structured leadership personality with strong communication skills, assertiveness, and the ability to handle conflict constructively while further developing the team

• Core Competencies: High standards of quality, a structured and goal-oriented way of working, and a strong motivation to question and improve processes
