Position Summary
MetLife established a Global capability center (MGCC) in India to scale and mature Data & Analytics, technology capabilities in a cost-effective manner and make MetLife future ready. The center is integral to Global Technology and Operations with a with a focus to protect & build MetLife IP, promote reusability and drive experimentation and innovation. The Data & Analytics team in India mirrors the Global D&A team with an objective to drive business value through trusted data, scaled capabilities, and actionable insights. The operating models consists of business aligned data officers- US, Japan and LatAm & Corporate functions enabled by enterprise COEs- data engineering, data governance and data science
Role Value Proposition
MetLife Global Capability Center (MGCC) is looking for a community engagement practitioner and the role is integral to US Business Data and Analytics (D&A) organization. US Data and analytics organization is structured by pillars, each pillar accountable to drive commercial impact through data and analytics solutions for a product and/or business function such as Dental, Disability, Life, Pet or Employer: billing, call center, sales, underwriting etal. This role will directly report into MGCC operations leader, the individual is accountable to oversee D&A community organization fostering a D&A community beyond org hierarchy across MGCC India. The candidate should have a strong understanding of branding, culture, stakeholder management, talent management, excellent analytical skills, and experience with managing/handling high level engagements with leaders.
Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the US D&A community and MGCC to develop and maintain effective communications regarding hiring, training, work anniversaries, and other significant events and milestones

  • Facilitation of skill set communities within D&A
  • US D&A Training (technical, communication, etc.)
  • Manage Jr. Talent programs (internship, rotation, etc.)
  • Contribute to D&A Branding (close to business)
  • Lead India D&A event organization
  • Leader and guardian of India D&A culture
  • US D&A stakeholder management on Communications, HR Trainings and HR Talent
  • Management of external speaking (for US Data officer and other leaders)
  • Manage high-level internal speaking engagements and D&A-led events like (Monthly townhalls, Quarterly connects etal)
  • D&A stakeholder management towards Communication, HR Training and HR Talent

  • Collaborate with different functions/leadership team to contribute and drive closure

Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education
Bachelors/Masters in any discipline from leading/recognized institutes
Experience
(In Years)
5 - 8 years of relevant experience community engagement role
Technical Skills
  • Strong Program & Project Management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in any two of the following- Talent Management, event management, communications and branding, community and team building
  • Self-starter who is innovative with solutions
  • Self-initiated, drive and zeal for collaboration and team building • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel including pivot tables, lookups, data validation etc.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with other areas, including IT, Finance, Governance, Training, etc.
  • Written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and Stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite for this role

  • Other Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in Insurance domain
  • Appreciation for Data and Analytics tools and frameworks
