The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Primary responsibility is overseeing the Securitization back-office operations.

  • Utilize experience in market CP settlements and knowledge of asset-backed commercial paper.

  • Manage appropriate transaction booking and passing/checking/reconciliation of entries using US GAAP accounting knowledge.

  • Review and verify the daily reconciliation of the conduit’s checking accounts and WIP account to various systems, including the ABCP Suite System.

  • Prepare daily and monthly conduits’ activity reports for senior management.

  • Thoroughly understand the conduit management systems (both present and future).

  • Support the Securitization Front Office partners.

  • Contact ABCP application Vendor for any system and/or process change requirements and coordinate with internal system support if necessary.

  • Manage cross-training and motivation of staff.

  • Oversee performance measurements and improvements.

  • Adhere to regulatory changes and new requirements and update procedures, as necessary.

  • Direct the activities of the group, ensuring all services, products, and programs effectively satisfy applicable customers, organizational and/or regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the revision and implementation of procedures and/or routines, supporting local and or Head Office policy objectives.

  • Requires the ability to rapidly take over a fast-paced position to service the bank’s Securitization business accurately and efficiently.

  • Perform the Conduit Audit with three party auditors.

  • Implement new regulatory requirements which affect Conduit Accounting; setup new SPV, as necessary.

  • Perform monthly Profit and Loss meetings with Front office in conjunction with Systems.

  • Department; streamline warehousing of data/data flows.

  • Selection and placement of newly hired staff members.

  • Direct oversight of the training & development, performance, evaluation, and disciplinary processes.

  • Establishing standards of performance.

  • Measuring current performance and comparing it against established standards and identifying and implementing corrective measures to ‘narrow the gap’ between planned and actual performance.

Experience/Education

  • Knowledge and direct experience in the asset-backed commercial paper business-preferably in a back-office capacity with a major financial institution.

  • 5 – 10 years of experience in a banking operational area, with supervisory responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of Accounting & ABCP Systems experience.

  • Knowledge of Asset Securitization, Securities or Banking.

  • College graduate – 2 years minimum.

  • Completion of a major Bank/FI trading operations training program a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $87K - $113K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
