The Role:
In this high-impact role, you will focus primarily on the Implementation phase of the client lifecycle, serving as the technical authority responsible for the design and delivery of complex data ecosystems. Moving beyond standard setups, you will architect scalable and, where necessary, bespoke integration strategies designed to modernize and streamline Alternative Investment workflows for our clients.
You will act as the bridge between client business goals and technical reality, engaging with stakeholders from Operations Leads to CTOs to map data flows, design robust API connectivities, and configure scalable solutions using Canoe's cutting-edge technology. • Process Optimization & Best Practices:
Identify opportunities to automate manual onboarding tasks and develop a library of reusable integration patterns. Propose enhancements to internal tooling and methodologies to reduce implementation time and friction for future enterprise clients.

What We're Looking For:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience:
2+ years in a Solutions Architecture, Technical Implementation, or Sales Engineering role, ideally within a SaaS or data-driven environment. Proven experience designing solutions for enterprise-level clients and navigating complex data ecosystems.
  • Technical Expertise (Data & Scripting):
Proficiency in YAML, Python, and SQL is required for data manipulation, troubleshooting, and validation. Hands-on experience with API integration tools (Postman, REST) and data warehousing concepts (Snowflake).
  • Communication & Technical Negotiation:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate technical requirements with client-side CTOs, CIOs, and Data Engineers. You must be able to translate complex architectural concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Basic Understanding of Private Equity Reporting Systems:
Familiarity with private equity-specific financial reporting systems and tools (e.g., Addepar, Black Diamond, or similar platforms) used for fund accounting, portfolio management, and investor reporting.
  • Problem-Solving & Process Improvement:
Ability to identify architectural inefficiencies and propose scalable, automated solutions that improve outcomes for both clients and the organization.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams such as Sales, Product, Relationship Managers, and Project Managers to ensure alignment on client goals.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience helping clients architect data lakes or centralized reporting repositories
  • Knowledge of Private Equity Investment Data
  • Familiarity with asset-level data (e.g., FMV, performance metrics, cash flows, etc.)
