ISS STOXX LiquidMetrix is seeking a TCA Product Owner to join our Product team in London. This role acts as a bridge between clients, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams to support and enhance our TCA and Best Execution platform, with a strong focus on data, design, and quality assurance.

LiquidMetrix has a proud 30-year history of delivering sophisticated solutions to financial markets, including MiFID Best Execution, Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), Market Surveillance, and Venue Liquidity Analytics. These solutions are delivered via state-of-the-art web services and APIs, powered by a global, multi-asset market data warehouse.

The Product team is responsible for the full product lifecycle—from concept through implementation and training. The successful candidate will work closely with Head of Product, Product team and Development teams across all stages of delivery, from initial design and wireframing through to release, training, and documentation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Gather and refine product requirements from clients, internal stakeholders, technology teams, and regulatory bodies

  • Triage incoming requests and prioritise based on client urgency, business impact, and cost

  • Produce high-quality functional specifications and acceptance criteria

  • Define clear functional requirements and support development across the lifecycle

  • Participate in testing, documentation, and client communication

  • Collaborate with internal project teams to deliver successful outcomes

  • Present project scope and progress to senior stakeholders and governance forums

  • Investigate complex issues in collaboration with Product and Client Services

  • Engage directly with clients to provide timely and effective resolution

  • Develop and deliver training for internal and external users

  • Maintain and enhance product documentation to reflect current functionality

Core Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in TCA, trading analytics, product delivery, or financial markets

  • Degree-level education, ideally in finance, economics, or computer science

  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving regulatory and business environments

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity and attention to detail

  • Experience in Best Execution monitoring and/or TCA analytics

  • Strong understanding of the trading lifecycle and market structure (venues, liquidity types, asset classes)

  • Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks, including MiFID and MAR

  • Awareness of cross-functional collaboration across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Client Services

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel; working knowledge of SQL and Python preferred

  • Ability to analyse large datasets, identify patterns, and investigate complex issues

  • Familiarity with financial platform architecture, including data ingestion, workflows, APIs, and UI layers

  • Strong prioritisation and roadmap planning skills

  • Product-focused mindset with understanding of user behaviour (Traders, Analysts) and UX/HCI principles

  • Awareness of AI/ML concepts and their application to large datasets (desirable)

Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Compliance, surveillance product delivery, market surveillance, or financial markets.
  • Degree-level education in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptable, inquisitive mindset with desire to understand complex models, methodologies, and market behaviours.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of market abuse and surveillance methodologies (Insider Dealing, Spoofing, Front Running, other manipulation behaviours).
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including MAR, UK MAR, and MiFID.
  • Experience with market abuse surveillance tools and platforms.
  • Understanding of model calibration, back-testing, risk analysis, and gap analysis processes.
  • Good knowledge of market structures, trading venues, and asset classes.
  • Advanced Excel and documentation skills.
  • Ability to analyse large datasets, identify patterns, and investigate complex scenarios.
  • Familiarity with financial services platforms, data ingestion processes, workflows, APIs, and user interfaces.
  • Product-focused mindset with ability to prioritise competing demands and contribute to product roadmap decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills balancing client, business, and technical considerations.
