Your opportunity
We're currently looking for a Tax Supervisor to join our Huhtamaki Flexible Packaging Türkiye team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance, preparing and reviewing tax declarations, coordinating tax audits, monitoring changes in tax legislation, and supporting tax-related processes. You will work closely with the Accounting team and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
You will report to the Finance Manager and be part of the Finance Team.
Where you’ll be
- You will be located at our Esenyurt site in İstanbul / Türkiye and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and review tax declarations, including VAT, Withholding Tax, Stamp Tax, Corporate Income Tax, and Provisional Tax.
- Monitor changes in Turkish tax legislation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Coordinate tax audits and work closely with external tax advisors, auditors, and certified public accountants.
- Support corporate tax matters, including transfer pricing, tax reconciliations, and VAT refund processes.
- Identify tax risks and contribute to process improvements.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in taxation.
- Strong knowledge of Turkish Tax Legislation.
- Experience in a large-scale company or an audit/tax advisory firm is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of English is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
