Job Profile Summary:
The Tax Specialist works with an Assistant Manager to extract invoices from client data identifies & enters sales tax information from invoices to an access or excel database. Format and reconcile the data with source data from the clients.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
People:
- Create a positive team experience
- Helps prepare documentation and assists training new hires.
Client:
- Proactive work status update to International / India liaison
- Performs Quality Assurance for all the tasks completed by the team, acting as a final reviewer before submitting the final deliverable to US
- Completes tasks assigned by Management with a sense of urgency and confidentiality where needed.
Value:
- Identifying and entering sales tax details from the invoices into a database
- Reconcile the values from different data sources
- Prepare reports as per the requirements from consultants
- Analyze data from invoices and submit a summary report
- Prepares Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for various processes
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Finance/ Commerce/ Accounting/ Business.
- 3-5 years of experience preferably in U.S. Sales and Use Tax, U.S. Credits and Incentives experience would be a plus.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Internet navigation and research.

- Good understanding on web research and excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and stressful situations
- Expertise in MS Excel and MS Word and working knowledge of MS access
- Expertise in Project Management & Quality Management
- Proactive communication and good organizing skills
- Proven ability to be a team player and work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated experience in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and working with changing priorities in a complex business environment
- Project planning and Resource allocation
- Ability to handle any task with minimum supervision.
