- Manage India indirect tax compliance, coordinating with external tax advisors and internal Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate filings and payments.
- Track and follow up on indirect tax refund claims, ensuring prompt recovery and resolution.
- Partner with Finance teams to support cash flow projections related to indirect tax payments and refunds.
- Lead and manage India indirect tax audits, statutory audits, and financial statement disclosures.
- Provide support for indirect tax planning, advisory, and compliance with evolving regulations.
- Monitor new and emerging India indirect tax legislation and ensure timely implementation of required changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad hoc indirect tax projects and business initiatives.
- Support global tax transformation initiatives including software implementation, digitization, and automation of tax processes.
- Assist the tax accounting (ASC 740) provision team with system updates and reporting enhancements.
- Provide analytical support to US tax compliance teams on accounting method changes and special projects.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline OR MBA.
- Certification: Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in tax operations or indirect tax (Big Four experience is an advantage)
- Strong expertise in India Indirect Tax (GST) compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Proven project management experience and ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
