Tax Manager

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing tax-efficient structures, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and advising on tax implications related to the company's evolving business models.

Responsibilities

1. Provide ongoing tax advisory support for the company's existing operations in Brazil, identifying opportunities for tax optimization while ensuring compliance;

2. Develop and implement tax strategies for new business models, ensuring alignments with regulatory requirements and business objectives;

3. Support contract reviews and negotiations to ensure optimal tax structuring

4. Ensure accurate tax reporting and the implementation of best practices in tax compliance

5. Monitor tax law changes and regulatory updates, evaluating their impact on the business and proactively implementing necessary adjustments;

6. Coordinating and resolving tax audits and examinations with tax authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Law, Economics, or related field

• At least 5 years of experience in corporate tax, tax planning, or tax advisory

• Solid knowledge of Brazilian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, including CIT, VAT (ICMS/PIS/COFINS), and international taxation; possess expertise in tax structuring of new business models, including digital servies, logistics, and e-commerce

• Proven experience in transfer pricing, tax risk management, and tax audits/

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with legal advisors, and tax authorities; ability to communicate complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-taxes professionals

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic enviroment, handling multiple projects simultaneously

• Fluent in English and Portuguese
