- Prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports, and other related materials.
- Devises legal means to minimize tax liability thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Recommends alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax burden.
- Review prevalent tax provisions and initiate investigation into areas of opportunity.
- Ensure accuracy of company’s tax declarations.
- Provides guidance to plant financial teams in order to be ensure Accounting Records are in line with Tax regulation.
- Coordination on the company response to external audits coming from Tax Authorities in all levels.
- Definition of strategy coordinated with external consultants in front of audit or any kind of requirement coming from Tax Authorities in Mexico.
Specific requirements:
- Technical experience on all Tax records, requirements in accordance with Mexico Tax Regulations.
- Recent and permanent update on changes to Mexico Tax Law, specially for ISR, VAT, and Maquiladora Tax regulation.
- Leadership and ability to coordinate and work as a team with all the rest of areas in the company, specially local accounting teams.
Education:
- BS/BA required.
- MBA/MS preferred.
- Mexico Tax Diploma, Course, Seminars.
Experience:
- Requires 5-8 years of experience
