Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst supports several accounting, forecasting and reporting processes and analyses to support Rockwell's IT function. You will report to the Global Analytics and insights organization and engages with partners in IT to develop financial plans, forecasts and analyze actual performance against those goals.

The mission of the Global Analytics organization is to provide functional partners with information to manage performance and support decision making, while work quality in the process. The Senior Financial Analyst will manage certain reporting for the IT function. You will use global consolidation financial systems (Oracle EPM) and SAP to provide analytics and insight on a variety of important financial metrics including commercial expenses and capital project spending.

The Senior Analyst also works to automate processes and support simplification and standardization efforts. Your role will involve business partnering, supporting team members based in North America.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform accounting adjustments for several IT activities
  • Develop financial plans using partner input and applying standard tool and processes to promote clear explanations for financial performance in a region for the IT function
  • Maintain standard reporting including regional performance, trends, and key variances to plan/ forecast and prior period
  • Develop and advocate for automation, simplification, and standardization in reporting
  • Create ad hoc analyses and respond to business inquiries to understand material drivers of financial performance
  • Present and explain financial performance and key variances and changes vs. forecast, plan and prior year
  • Help with team training efforts and help develop co-workers' FP&A skillsets and systems knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information technology or business administration
  • 3+ years of experience in finance/accounting with an FP&A emphasis
  • Proficiency both in Spanish and English
  • Partner - results with professionals
  • Experience with SAP, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of MS Offices, Excel skills
  • IPC (Information Processing Capability)
  • Interpret large amounts of data and to present financial concepts to important partners
  • Manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback.
  • Good at business
  • Collaborate within a matrix organization and influence others

Accepts Role Requirements

  • Minimal travel - less than 10%
  • Flex work schedule to accommodate our needs and working across multiple time zones
