Samsung Electronics Romania is looking for a Tax Expert for the Tax & Accounting Team who will be in charge of managing the tax matters of the company in accordance with local regulations and company requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

This position will be reporting directly to the Tax and Accounting Manager. As a Tax Expert , you will be responsible for all tax-related matters for Romania and Bulgaria, being in charge with:

• Identifying and addressing tax risks for the company 
• Tax preparation: preparing tax fillings in compliance with applicable requirements
• Tax advising and documents review: guide on possible tax implications of different business transactions, and projects
• Conduct and document tax research on various tax issues
• Audit support: managing tax audits of the company, internal and external
• Environmental reporting
• Support in the preparation and validation of all Transfer Pricing documentation
• Establish and update corporate and local tax policies and processes
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax issues and risks are incorporated into the way the company does business

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Tax, with a focus on corporate tax, strong understanding of tax laws and regulation
• Previous experience in working with ERP systems, knowledge of SAP is a plus;
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel;
• Good analytical and problem solving skills;
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently but also collaboratively in a team;
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment;
• Good time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
• Good English written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively at different levels throughout the organization.
