The Tax Coordinator role is an in office position for candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine office. This role is full time non-exempt hourly, and pays a range of $19.00-$20.00 depending on experience and qualifications. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

As a Tax Coordinator, you will play a vital role in gathering tax documents and financial information from clients, regularly communicating with them over the phone, email, and text message to ensure all required details are obtained. Working closely with Tax Preparers and Tax Managers, you'll efficiently collect and organize documentation to support accurate filings. This role requires keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication to collaborate seamlessly with both clients and internal teams, ensuring a smooth tax preparation process.


What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Document Detective: Gather, review, and meticulously organize financial documents and records to ensure tax preparations run smoothly.
  • Client Liaison Extraordinaire: Communicate directly with clients to request missing or additional information, building trust and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Partner with Tax Experts: Work alongside Tax Preparers to assist in crafting accurate and compliant tax returns and filings.
  • Master of Organization: Maintain and optimize electronic filing systems, keeping tax documentation accessible and secure.
  • Deadline warrior: Follow up with clients and internal teams to ensure all timelines are met, leaving no loose ends.
  • Administrative Dynamo: Provide crucial support to the tax department, from scheduling to correspondence and everything in between.

Skills And Experience We Are Looking For From You:

  • A natural knock for spotting even the smallest details and keeping things perfectly organized.
  • Previous hands-on experience in a similar role or internship.
  • Financial know-how: experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or a related field that sets you up for success in this role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, helping you connect with clients and collaborate with team members seamlessly.
  • Cool under pressure: Ability to stay composed and deliver results while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Work, Outlook).
  • Bonus Points for Tax Savviness: Familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus and will help you hit the ground running.
