To support the continued growth of our Employee Tax Compliance team in Leiden, the Netherlands, we are looking for an enthusiastic Tax Compliance Officer.
As part of our team of tax return specialists, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse client portfolio with the preparation and filing of personal income tax returns. Given the cross‑border nature of our clients’ work, you will also assess and determine their tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
This international focus ensures that each case is unique, making the role both challenging and varied, with no two clients, or days, being the same.

What a typical day looks like...
  • Determining the tax residency and tax liability position of individual taxpayers;
  • Preparing (complex) international personal income tax returns;
  • Preparing and analysing personal income tax calculations for clients;
  • Determining social security positions and related calculations;
  • Communicating with clients and the Tax Authorities regarding status and progress;
  • Actively monitoring statutory deadlines for the services provided;
  • Reviewing tax assessments and preparing and handling objections;
  • Responding to and corresponding with clients and the Tax Authorities;
  • Being involved throughout the entire service delivery process.

Skills Required

  • 1-3 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, verbal and written
  • Completed Dutch HBO or WO degree
  • Ability to determine tax residency and tax liability across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience preparing and filing personal income tax returns, including complex international cases
  • Analytical, accurate and quality-focused work approach
