As a Tax Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the company's tax compliance, audit, and advisory activities in the Philippines, ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements while partnering with internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career tax professional to gain broad exposure across tax compliance, tax audits, regulatory filings, and advisory work within a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Regulatory Filings

  • Support the preparation and submission of tax-related filings and applications with government agencies, including the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Local Government Units (LGUs).

  • Assist in annual and quarterly business permit renewals and compliance requirements.

  • Support annual electronic Audited Financial Statements (eAFS) submissions for multiple legal entities.

  • Assist with Export-Oriented Enterprise (EOE) applications and PEZA VAT Zero-Rating applications and related clearances.

Tax Audits & Tax Administration

  • Assist in managing multiple tax audits in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Coordinate and secure documentary requirements from regulatory authorities, including SEC certifications and other compliance documents.

  • Support business deregistration processes with relevant government agencies.

  • Assist with Computerized Accounting System (CAS) permit applications and related tax compliance initiatives.

Tax Advisory & Research

  • Conduct tax research and support ad-hoc tax advisory requests, including customer tax treatment assessments and interpretation of tax regulations.

  • Liaise with relevant government agencies to clarify tax-related matters when required.

  • Support Tax Treaty Relief Applications (TTRA), Requests for Confirmation (RFC), and Certificates of Entitlement (COE) applications.

Tax Reconciliation & Refund Management

  • Assist in tax account reconciliations, including Creditable Withholding Tax (CWT) reconciliations.

  • Support VAT refund and CWT refund application processes.

  • Analyze tax-related data and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness of filings and claims.

Documentation & Process Support

  • Maintain accurate tax records, documentation, and audit files.

  • Support continuous improvement of tax processes and record management practices.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders on tax-related matters.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Taxation, or a related discipline.

  • 1–2 years of experience in taxation, accounting, finance, audit, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and government compliance processes is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation with a high level of accuracy.

  • Comfortable working with numbers, reconciliations, and financial data analysis.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct tax research independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is an advantage.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino/Tagalog.
