Tax Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Audubon is currently seeking an entry level Tax Associate to join our team in the Houston, TX office. This is a part-time, entry-level position for college students who want to learn how a corporate tax team works. No tax or accounting experience is needed. We provide all training. What matters most is that you're reliable, curious, and eager to learn.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the tax team with data entry and spreadsheet updates
• Gather, organize, and file documents (electronic and paper)
• Help prepare materials for senior team members
• Follow up with colleagues to collect missing information
• Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks
• Learn tax processes step by step through on-the-job training

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

• All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
• Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
• Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
• Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
• Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Junior or Senior at a four-year University in the Houston area
• Pursuing a business-related degree
• Willing to learn, take direction, and ask questions
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Clear communicator
• Comfortable with basic Excel and Microsoft Office
