Tax SpecialistRole Purpose
This role is exclusively for Overseas Direct Tax Compliances. The Tax Analyst will support ABB’s Overseras Countries Tax compliances activities by ensuring accurate tax accounting, compliance, and reporting. The role focuses on tax GL management, statutory filings, process standardization, and resolution of tax-related issues in line with local and global compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Tax Preparation & Filing: Prepare and file WHT,FBT & CIT tax returns, including timely execution of tax payments.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Ensuring all tax filings comply with current laws and assisting with internal/external audits.
• Tax Accounting & Reporting: Assisting with quarterly/year-end tax provisions under IFRS or US GAAP under Longview application.
• Data Management: Evaluating financial records and preparing tax reconciliation reports. Perform clearing and reconciliation of tax GL accounts as per local and global compliance standards.
• Ensure accurate computation, correction, and maintenance of tax liabilities. Support standardization and continuous improvement of transactional tax processes.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process flows, and work instructions to strengthen process understanding and controls.
• Resolve functional tax issues relating to domestic and overseas jurisdictions through strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with ABB tax governance and compliance frameworks.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance (B.Com) or Master in Commerce (M.Com).
• Professional or semi-qualified credentials such as CA Inter / CMA Inter / CS Inter / MBA (Finance) are preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in: o Income Tax returns o TDS compliance o Tax audits • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred. • Experience with Longview/T2 Tool is preferred. • Exposure to overseas / international tax is an added advantage
