The Tax Accounting Alternative Investments team prepares tax workpapers, returns, and necessary tax filings for our alternative investment fund clients. Most of this team’s clients are also fund accounting clients who come to UMB to get our full service offering. This group is a growing team that continues to add to our client portfolio.
The Tax Accountant I-Alternative Investments role supports UMB by gathering and tracking client tax documents, creating initial tax returns, and corresponding with clients as needed. In this role you will have the opportunity to grow professionally, learning more complex tasks and software capabilities, increasing client contact, and ultimately training and reviewing peer’s work. The world of tax is always changing, and this team works closely together to grow right along with it!

How you’ll spend your time:
- You will communicate with clients through phone and e-mail to ensure all necessary tax documents have been received.
- You will operate Excel and UMB Systems to input tax documents and prepare tax returns.
- You will distribute tax documents to client investors for their use in individual tax return preparations.

Compensation Range:
$38,910.00 - $75,080.00
