Tax Accountant | With AU Taxation Experience

Overview of the Role

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, advising clients on tax strategies, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role involves working closely with Australian clients to optimize their tax positions and assisting the firm in managing tax-related matters efficiently and accurately.

Main duties include:

• Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
• Provide tax planning advice and strategies to clients to minimize tax liabilities.
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Manage tax audits, liaise with tax authorities, and respond to inquiries.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and financial reporting related to tax.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with other accounting and finance professionals to optimize client services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in tax accounting or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
