Tasking Portfolio Product Manager
You will be responsible for driving profitable growth for our tasking product portfolio. You will understand and leverage complex tasking workflows and satellite constellation capabilities to create seamless ordering experiences and optimal collection outcomes. You will develop and manage a portfolio of tasking products that enable customers to efficiently request, prioritize, and receive satellite imagery collections tailored to their mission requirements. The Tasking Product Portfolio team also serves as owners and advocates for the underlying tasking infrastructure, collection planning systems, API frameworks, and fulfillment operations at Vantor. These are the essential building blocks for reliable, responsive, and high-quality satellite tasking experiences that drive customer satisfaction and constellation utilization.
Responsibilities:- Define and articulate product strategy for the tasking portfolio based on market analysis, customer collection requirements, and business objectives
- Engage and understand customer tasking needs through direct interaction, feasibility analysis, and collection performance review to inform a comprehensive product roadmap
- Lead cross-functional teams including satellite operations, collection planning, and engineering to deliver tasking features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with overall product goals
- Support sales and business development team members in showcasing our tasking capabilities to current and prospective customers, including demonstrations of collection feasibility and turnaround times
- Define the framework and metrics to measure tasking portfolio performance, including fill rates, collection quality, turnaround time, and constellation efficiency
- Partner with go-to-market and marketing teams in developing tasking product positioning, messaging, and account-specific collection solutions
- Manage tradeoffs between customer tasking demand, satellite capacity constraints, and collection prioritization to optimize portfolio revenue and customer outcomes
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required
- 5+ years of experience in product management or similar roles
- Crisp communicator: High attention to detail including precise and effective communications, including with external customers/partners
- Deep user empathy and a high bar for user experience, particularly around complex ordering workflows
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including operations and engineering, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions about collection prioritization and solve complex scheduling problems
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
- Experience with satellite tasking, collection planning, or geospatial ordering systems preferred
- Defense and intelligence experience preferred
- Understanding of satellite constellation operations, orbital mechanics, or remote sensing fundamentals preferred
- Technology, platform, and/or geospatial experience preferred

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $107,000.00 - $179,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
