Markon is seeking an experienced Target Digital Network Analyst (TDNA) to support the Fort Meade customer. This role combines advanced network and host analysis with Intelligence Community reporting and open-source research to identify adversary activity, characterize cyber threats, and support vulnerability discovery and mitigation efforts for U.S. national defense platforms and critical infrastructure. The TDNA will produce intelligence reports, brief senior leaders, and travel as required to support Cyber Tabletop Exercises (CTTXs).

Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced analysis of SIGINT collection, open-source intelligence, network data, host data, and Intelligence Community reporting to develop and maintain target continuity.
  • Profile cyber targets, adversary intrusion sets, associated infrastructure, and operational activities.
  • Identify network-based adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures and assess their potential impact on U.S. Government networks and systems.
  • Analyze network and host-level data to identify, investigate, and characterize anomalous or potentially malicious activity.
  • Apply knowledge of digital networks, operating systems, applications, and communications technologies to determine how targets communicate, move, operate, and maintain access.
  • Perform geospatial analysis of network packet data, host information, operating system artifacts, executable files, and communications metadata to identify patterns, locate targets, and track activity.
  • Conduct packet capture analysis, network mapping, infrastructure discovery, executable file analysis, and host-based forensic analysis.
  • Correlate classified intelligence, technical data, and open-source information to generate leads and support vulnerability discovery and mitigation efforts.
  • Develop techniques and analytical methodologies to obtain additional information about targets and adversary activity.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and timely intelligence reports that communicate technical findings and operational relevance.
  • Brief senior leadership and mission stakeholders on cyber threats, target activity, vulnerabilities, and recommended actions.
  • Support cyber tabletop exercises and other mission activities requiring travel.
  • Collaborate with Intelligence Community, military, government, and contractor personnel to support cyber defense and national security objectives.
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI W/ Poly clearance required with this Customer. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
    • Cryptanalytic work within a military or Intelligence Community organization.
    • Vulnerability assessment or penetration testing.
    • Cyber incident response.
    • Network analysis or host-based forensic analysis.
    • Computer Network Exploitation.
    • Computer Network Attack.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in at least 3 of the following areas:
    • Microsoft Windows operating systems, system internals, and file attributes.
    • Executable file analysis.
    • File hashing and fuzzy hashing techniques.
    • Forensic analysis of Windows, Linux, or mobile systems.
    • Commercial or Government Off-the-Shelf intrusion detection tools.
    • Packet capture and network traffic analysis.
    • Network mapping and infrastructure discovery.
    • Industry-standard network and system analysis tools.
    • NTOC or SID S2 analysis and production involving cyber adversary intrusion sets or targets.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, common cyber vulnerabilities, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Experience analyzing network traffic, host data, operating system artifacts, executable files, and metadata.
  • Strong analytical, research, technical writing, briefing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical findings to senior leaders and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel in support of Cyber Tabletop Exercises and other mission requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability discovery and mitigation activities for national defense platforms or critical infrastructure.
  • Experience combining SIGINT, open-source intelligence, network data, and host-based information to develop cyber intelligence assessments.
  • Familiarity with geospatial analysis techniques and tools.
  • Experience developing analytical tradecraft, methodologies, or technical training for other analysts.
Salary RangeUSD $190,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Skills Required

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • At least 5 years of experience in two or more areas including cryptanalysis, vulnerability assessment or penetration testing, cyber incident response, network or host-based forensic analysis, Computer Network Exploitation, or Computer Network Attack
