Duties and Responsibilities

The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and engaging high-potential, multi-lingual (English, Japanese, and ideally a third language) professionals for Japanese SMEs and large-scale enterprises. You will act as the ""engine"" of the recruitment funnel, ensuring that the Founder has a steady stream of qualified candidates to interview and place. This role is strictly results-oriented, focusing on the quality of lead generation.

  • Targeted Sourcing: Use LinkedIn Recruiter, JobBoards, and social media to find candidates matching specific job orders (e.g., Real Estate, Strategy, or Tech roles).
  • Data Enrichment: Build and maintain a ""Candidate Pipeline"" in our database, ensuring contact details and profile summaries are accurate.
  • Initial Outreach: Execute first-touch communication via LinkedIn or email to gauge candidate interest.
  • Reporting: Provide a weekly brief on sourcing metrics (number of profiles identified, reached vs. number of interested candidates).

Qualifications

  • Boolean Search Mastery: Expert-level ability to use search strings to find niche talent.
  • Platform Proficiency: High familiarity with LinkedIn,
  • Bonus (not required): Japanese-specific platforms like BizReach or Wantedly (Japanese-specific platforms are not top priority - hence it is a nice to have)
  • English Fluency: Exceptional written English for professional candidate outreach.
  • Organization: Self-starter capable of managing a pipeline via Google Sheets/Excels.
  • Japanese Language (Bonus): Basic reading/understanding of Japanese profiles is a massive plus, though not strictly required if sourcing for trilingual roles.

Experience Level:

  • Intermediate (2–4 years). You need someone who already understands the recruitment lifecycle and doesn't need to be taught ""how to source,"" allowing you to focus on high-level alignment.
  • Commitment: 10 hours per week.
  • Requirement: Must be available for a 30-minute alignment sync weekly/bi-weekly (Monday or Friday preferred) and respond to Teams/Whatsapp/Email queries within 24 hours.

    As you will be working from home, please be advised that we will require you to prepare certain Technical Requirements for you to meet the industry standard.

    • A dedicated secluded working space away from noise and any distractions
    • Updated personal computer or laptop with webcam
    • Stable internet connection of at least 5Mbps and a backup of a pocket WiFi or Mobile Data
