Key Responsibilities

  • Manages leave of absence cases, including FMLA, military leave, personal leave, paid family leave, medical leave, administrative leave, and applicable state leave programs.
  • Coordinates the interactive process for ADA, PWFA, religious, and other workplace accommodation requests.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave and accommodation matters.
  • Coordinates Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) case management activities and partners with disability vendors and carriers to ensure timely processing and communication.
  • Reviews and maintains leave and accommodation documentation, medical certifications, and case records.
  • Tracks leave activity, monitors deadlines, and ensures required notices and communications are provided in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate leave records and reporting to support compliance and operational needs.
  • Supports Workers' Compensation administration, including claim reporting, documentation management, communication, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Supports employee relations activities including documentation, investigations, policy interpretation, and unemployment claim administration.
  • Assists employees and managers in understanding company policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Provides recruiting support during periods of increased hiring activity. Assists with interview scheduling, candidate communication, pre-employment activities, and onboarding administration as needed.
  • Supports recruiting events and talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Talent Management team members to support department objectives and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Participates in special projects and employee-related activities as assigned.
  • Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and its members.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience with exposure to leave administration, accommodations, employee relations support, or related HR functions. 
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred. 
  • Financial services experience a plus.
