The Talent Development Specialist, in collaboration with business line leaders, subject-matter experts, human resources, and learning & development team members, leverages talent development and adult learning methodologies to create, implement, and measure the quality of talent solutions for Nordic’s global enterprise. Solutions include the design and facilitation of virtual and in-person programs, e-learning resources and experiences, performance support tools, and other resources that help Nordic’s employees increase their performance through development and learning.Key Responsibilities
The Talent Development Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Consulting with business leaders and other stakeholders to understand and clarify business priorities, learning and performance needs, and related skill gaps
- Facilitating the Talent Review process and supporting confidential conversations with business leaders
- Designing innovative learning solutions incorporating multiple formats, including virtual instructor-led, asynchronous e-learning and resources, and in-person experiences
- Facilitating virtual and in-person learning programs that reflect knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles
- Creating measurement strategies leveraging performance-based methodologies that maximize the learner experience
- Assess the culture of inclusion, using metrics such as Microsoft Forms to ensure that specific areas of attention are highlighted in strategic planning for HR; measure impact of culture and inclusion initiatives on the workplace climate
- Design and administer surveys to assess employee satisfaction, culture, and engagement, then analyze the data to make recommendations for improvement
- Managing multiple talent development projects and programs, ensuring goals are achieved on time, within budget, and to expected levels of quality
- Researching, identifying, and applying best practices, design trends, technology alternatives, and vendor platform options to continue improving our learning and development solutions
- Leading and delivering culture, well-being, and engagement workshops to build a more inclusive and supportive environment
- Work on and/or lead projects that may be assigned ad hoc and assist with other corporate initiatives as requested.
Skills and Experience
- Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 2 years of related experience.
- 3 years’ experience in learning, education, project management or human resources (required)
- 5 years’ experience in learning, education, project management or human resources (preferred)
- Experience designing and developing virtual, instructor-led, and asynchronous learning solutions through the full learning and development process (e.g., needs analysis, design, delivery, evaluation) in a business environment
- Demonstrated experience creating and leading organization-wide learning initiatives using project management methodologies, practices, and techniques
- Experience facilitating learning programs, both virtually and in-person
- Subject matter expert in leadership and professional development topics including but not limited to talent review, leading and managing others, communication, problem-solving, coaching, DEI, leading change, managing conflict, etc.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office 365 and related applications with specific expertise using virtual facilitation platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and/or Webex
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects simultaneously with the proven ability to identify dependencies between multiple programs
- Strong consultation, customer service, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
- Healthcare Experience preferred
Additional Details
- Occasional travel up to 30% of the time
- Open to remote individuals willing to travel to Nordic’s offices as needed
