Reporting to the Director, Talent, Organizational Effectiveness & Learning, the Talent Development Partner works collaboratively with People Experience colleagues and business leaders across the organization to elevate employee engagement and experience, and align talent management and organizational effectiveness processes, programs, and tools to strategic objectives.
The role is responsible for using data-driven insights to manage end-to-end talent management programs/processes such as high potential identification, development planning, succession management, competency model management, coaching and leadership assessments, and employee listening activities.
Talent Management Strategies
- Support the end-to-end delivery and continuous improvement of one or more talent management and organizational effectiveness programs/processes including project management, stakeholder management and engagement, measurement and, continuous improvement
- In partnership with the People experience team and internal & external stakeholders, support the build and roll-out of a leadership behavioural competency and learning framework.
- Support the design and implementation of ‘new’ talent and learning programs including skill and competency models, development strategies, critical role identification, and succession planning across the organization
- Support the delivery of engagement, employee listening and retention strategies including internal communication, training, report generation, analytics, executive presentations and on-going enterprise action planning
- Act as the lead and subject matter expert on talent management systems, insight generation and interpretation
- Develop and implements change management plans for assigned projects including risk readiness assessment, mitigation strategy, roadmap and communication plan
- Assist in the development and maintenance of talent management metrics and dashboards
- Conduct and leverage analytics, expertise and ongoing research on global leading practices and trends to deliver data-driven insights that advance strategic talent priorities and support decision making. objectives
Performance Management
- Support the continuous improvement, design and execution of the performance and talent management annual processes through facilitation, stakeholder engagement, reporting and internal communication.
Org Effectiveness
- Develop and implement an organizational effectiveness and workforce planning policy, philosophy and design principles
- Develop and implement a new joiner onboarding program to ensure effective and efficient assimilation to the organization
What will you need to succeed?
- 3 -5 years in a talent management, organizational effectiveness or a related field
- BA, BSc in Psychology, Business Administration or HR degree minimum, Organization Behaviour, or related fields
- Strategic-thinking with an ability to operationalize and implement new programs and policies across the organization
- Demonstrated ability to consult, influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization in developing/executing talent strategies to drive business performance
- Talent Management experience, with a proven record of designing and delivering impactful, scalable programs within a corporate environment.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to take concepts and express them concisely and effectively for all levels across the organization
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, and ability to understand broader impact and insights
- Proficient in analyzing and simplifying data, storytelling and creating executive presentations to share information simply and efficiently
- Proven track record of “hands-on” project and program management for large-scale, complex programs, processes and change initiatives
- Highly organized, proven attention to accuracy and detail and an ability to produce high-quality work or project manage under tight timeframes
- Takes initiative, is action oriented and pro-actively seeks opportunities to add value
- Brings new insights and connections to the work by actively engaging in ongoing learning and improving but skills and knowledge
Location:
We’re a hybrid team that thrives on the energy and value of in-office collaboration. This role offers the best of both worlds, with 2 days a week spent in our vibrant offices in Cambridge and Toronto, with Cambridge being our primary hub. The expectation is 2 days a week in Cambridge with travel to Toronto and Cambridge as needed for meetings and events.
