MTM Transit is Hiring!

Exciting news! Our Valley Metro location is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to become part of our team. This specialist will play a key role in filling all hourly positions at the designated MTM Transit site. The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, and customer-focused.

Location: This role is 100% onsite - 436 S. Hamilton Ct. Gilbert, AZ 85233

Schedule: Two evenings a week until 7pm & at least two weekend days a month.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute the full life cycle recruitment process from job posting through the candidate onboarding stage for hourly onsite employees
  • Be available to meet with all walk-in interviews and answer candidate questions
  • Build relationships and increase outreach efforts within the local community to increase our candidate pipeline
  • Coordinate onsite job fairs, as well as attend events within the local community
  • Communicate with onsite Leadership regarding the status of the recruiting process
  • Conduct weekly touch bases, at the minimum, with onsite leaders to review recruitment needs and possible turnover
  • Conduct reference/background checks, extend formal offers of employment, and confirm start dates date based on New Hire Orientation availability
  • Accurately enter all new hires and promotions into Workday and save all required documentation into personnel files
  • Provide exceptional customer service to candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Responsible for achievement of targeted KPIs
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador and represent MTM Transit as an Employer of Choice by maintaining an in depth understanding of MTM and MTM Transit business and culture
  • Adhere to all processes and procedures defined as part of the full life cycle recruitment process
  • Regular attendance is required

What You’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in a recruiting role or in a related role
  • Experience with data entry
  • Intermediate level of proficiency or above with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers, and that includes having difficult conversations when necessary to keep the recruiting process compliant and effective

  • Previous experience using social channels such as LinkedI to source candidates, preferred
  • Previous experience with Workday is strongly preferred

Salary Range:

Min Wage: $55,920

Max Wage: $83,880
