We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist who will play a pivotal role in welcoming and integrating new hires into the organization, ensuring they have a seamless transition into their new roles and feel supported from day one. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who possesses extreme attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates with solid experience in complex applicant scheduling, supporting recruiters in the candidate lifecycle, and new hire onboarding. This role is mostly focused on managing the candidate-employee experience but will also include other TA projects and TA sourcing as needed. This role will be an on-site role at our San Diego HQ.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Support the People Team and Hiring Managers through the recruitment and onboarding life cycle: This includes candidate sourcing, scheduling interviews, facilitating references/background checks, launching onboarding event, preparing new hire swag, filing employee documents for onboarding, facilitating onboarding sessions, etc
- Coordinate and schedule all stages of the talent acquisition interviewing process, partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure a seamless and timely interview process while providing the ultimate candidate experience in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships (hiring managers, and onboarding stakeholders: IT, Finance, Business Operations, Admin, etc.)
- Run and monitor all background checks; follow up on discrepancies and collect supporting documents as needed
- Coordinate, schedule, and support all stages of the onboarding experience; Organize and lead the bi-weekly onboarding sessions (includes delivering presentation on company culture, mission, values, etc.)
- Work closely with all People team members, onboarding stakeholders, and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Solicit feedback from new hires to continually improve the onboarding process and identify areas for enhancement
- Effectively prioritize, multi-task and problem solve day-to-day responsibilities as it relates to the candidate-employee experience
- Act as a brand ambassador to promote the Element brand during on-site interviews and hiring events
Additional Functions and Responsibilities:
- Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and deliver tactical research/market intelligence, referral generation and sourcing campaigns to help manage an efficient model of operation
- Find, engage and activate passive candidates through the use of LinkedIn and alternative search techniques including proactively screening resumes and interviewing active candidates to determine basic qualifications
- Participate in special projects and events to support the development of various employee and recruitment materials. Lead on all Tier 1-2 People Team onboarding tickets using our internal tracking system
- Lead and manage the summer internship program – coordinating all events and activities and acting as the primary contact for interns and hiring managers
- Develop and foster local university relationships, including attending on-site events, career fairs, etc
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree with 2+ years of human resources/people operations experience; experience with recruiting support and/or scheduling experience in a high-volume environment is a plus
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and has an entrepreneurial spirit; willing to jump in and help the team where needed
- Accountability is key; Reliable and dedicated to delivering their best work on time
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with an impeccable attention to detail; Ability to monitor multiple schedules and consistently navigate competing priorities
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse is a plus, but not necessary)
- Experience with HR Onboarding Systems (ADP is a plus, but not necessary)

Base Compensation Pay Range:
- $85,000 - $104,000
In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off.
Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
