SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Team Leader and Production Team Leader, the Textile Tagger is to tag all graded textiles before they are rolled out to the sales floor. The textile tagger must also maintain the production area must also be kept clean, neat, and in safe conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  1. Tag graded textile donations as they are processed onto proper rolling racks.
  2. Keep production area clean and safe and other store areas as directed.
  3. Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code, including a name badge.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  1. Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Production Team Leader.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

  2. Knowledge of textile articles related to quality and garment classification (gowns, shirts, pants, etc.).
  3. Knowledge of retail or stock handling.
  4. Ability to listen and follow directions.

Education and/or Experience:

Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.

 

Math Ability:

Level 1: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Computer Skills:

No computer skills are required for this position.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  2. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  3. Standing and walking for long periods of time.
  4. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull.
  5. Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
  6. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Language Ability:

Level 1: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Reasoning Ability:

Level 2: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

License and Certifications:

This position does not require any certifications or licenses.
