Position: Systems Testing Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist
to support testing and quality assurance activities for large-scale enterprise
applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing,
executing, and maintaining testing processes across multiple platforms,
ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with business requirements.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary
degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification
in Software Quality Engineering or an equivalent credential is considered
a strong asset.
- Minimum
of 4 years of experience performing testing for large-scale applications,
including:
- On-premise
solutions
- Web
applications
- Cloud-based
integrations
- Mobile
platforms
- Experience
executing testing activities and coordinating with team members to support
timely project delivery.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong
analytical skills with the ability to understand:
- Business
processes
- Information
systems
- Web
user interface design
- Accessibility

experience executing test cycles, analyzing results, and managing the full
defect lifecycle using tools such as:

- Confluence
- Experience
with automated testing tools including:
- Micro
Focus UFT / OpenText UFT
- TOSCA
- Selenium
- Strong
understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience

(Scrum) environments
- Hybrid
delivery models
- Experience
testing specialized platforms such as:
- AI-based
solutions
- ServiceNow
- Salesforce

- Demonstrated

Key Responsibilities
- Design
and deliver detailed test cases and test scripts aligned with business
requirements and project objectives.

- Maintain
accurate records of defects and test discrepancies using approved QA
tools.
- Provide

and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts as required using
tools such as:
- UFT
- Selenium
- Cucumber
- Serenity
(BDD)
- Collaborate
with project teams, business analysts, and developers to create and manage
test data and testing scenarios.
- Support
quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement
initiatives within Agile, DevOps, and traditional project environments.

Skills Required
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- Certification in Software Quality Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years testing experience for large-scale applications (on-premise, web, cloud, mobile)
- Hands-on experience with Functional, Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Experience with API testing and AODA accessibility testing
- Experience using QA/test management tools: OpenText ALM, OpenText Octane, JIRA, X-Ray, Confluence
- Experience with automated testing tools: Micro Focus UFT / OpenText UFT, TOSCA, Selenium; familiarity with Cucumber and Serenity (BDD)
- Experience testing specialized platforms such as AI-based solutions, ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP
- Strong understanding of SDLC and experience in Waterfall, Agile (Scrum), and hybrid delivery models
- Ability to analyze business requirements/user stories, design test scenarios, develop test cases/scripts, and prepare test data
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills
