The Role

Summary:

Clio is looking for an Intermediate Systems Specialist, Finance to join our IT team. In this role, you will support the implementation, configuration, and day to day operation of our financial systems. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance team by handling incoming system requests, maintaining platform stability, and partnering with senior team members on initiatives that improve how Finance operates at scale. We are looking for someone to join one of our hub locations (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto). All hub-based Clions are expected to be in the office for a minimum of twice per week on one of our Anchor Days.

What you’ll work on:

  • Support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing operation of financial systems.

  • Own initial intake and troubleshooting for finance systems support requests, coordinating resolution through our internal ticketing system.

  • Provide hands-on administration and support for Coupa and P2P workflows, including intake, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

  • Assist with integrations between Coupa, NetSuite, and other finance tools such as Concur, FloQast, Stripe, Workiva, and Avalara.

  • Partner with the Finance team to understand operational needs and ensure systems effectively support day to day processes.

  • Contribute to process improvement and automation efforts across finance workflows, with an initial focus on P2P and adjacent systems.

  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of system changes and enhancements.

  • Monitor data integrity, user access, and system performance, escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Create and maintain documentation on system configurations, processes, and support procedures.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance/Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience supporting or administering finance systems in a systems administrator or consulting capacity.

  • Hands-on experience with Coupa or other P2P platforms.

  • Experience working across multiple finance systems, with an understanding of how different tools fit together within a broader finance technology stack.

  • Working knowledge of core financial processes and ERP system fundamentals.

  • Experience supporting system integrations or automation initiatives.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to document issues and explain solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a ticket-driven environment.

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI
     

Nice to Haves

  • Experience supporting NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

  • Coupa certifications.

  • Exposure to automation tools such as Workato.

  • Experience supporting additional finance platforms beyond P2P.

  • Familiarity with internal controls or SOX-aligned environments.

The expected salary range* for this role is $99,200 to $116,800 to $134,400 CAD. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.


*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
