Own the vision, roadmap, execution, and quality measurement for Clio’s AI Search platform. Lead engineering and ML teams developing hybrid lexical and semantic search across documents, emails, and records. Coordinate across Clio products while balancing relevance, latency, cost, permissions, and customer AI preferences. Works closely with second-line support, product, and engineering teams to improve customer outcomes and platform support.

Leads and develops a software engineering team while remaining hands-on with coding, architecture, code reviews, technical solution design, roadmap planning, hiring, and mentoring. Partners with Product and Design leadership to deliver scalable SaaS solutions, improve engineering practices, and support team growth. The role requires Calgary-based hybrid attendance twice weekly.

Owns Clio’s business continuity, incident management, and disaster recovery programs. Responsibilities include designing tabletop exercises, coordinating DR tests, administering incident tooling, analyzing incident metrics, maintaining recovery plans and RTO/RPO targets, driving remediation actions, managing the resilience roadmap, and supporting crisis response and cyber recovery. The role requires cross-functional leadership, clear communication, hands-on program administration, and calm decision-making during high-pressure incidents.

Build and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines, data lakes, warehouses, and transformation systems using AWS and modern data tools.
