Responsibilities:
High Level Responsibilities:
- The main role and responsibilities of System Solutions Engineering is to use deep technical expertise to address complex technical inquiries. Learn and fully understand the architecture solution design, data landscape, data sources and applications. Solutions engineer, acts as a tech expert making sure the technology performs its intended functions.
- A Solutions Engineer works closely with the solutions architect, Infrastructure teams and the product developers, turning complex technical ideas into highly available, resilient, efficient, recoverable solutions.
- Manage technology domain strategy, governance, and end-to-end processes (e.g., Technology End of Life Management Program)
- Prioritize IT work; develops proposals, work and resource plans, training plans, budgets and reports; monitor, track, support or manage the work by leading matrix teams
- Recommends improvements to project management methodology and tools, as appropriate
- Partner with program management, architecture, system owners, 3rd party vendors, testing and other teams as necessary to ensure successful delivery
Drive planning at the various organizational levels to ensure IT delivery is on track/resourced - Ensure timetable and deliverable schedules are understood and communicated
- Manage dependencies and stakeholders proactively, coordinate across teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks
- Align, plan, and precisely manage activities and dependencies across delivery teams to ensure cohesive delivery
- Contribute to executive-level updates on strategy, budget, project delivery, controls, risks, etc.
- Organize and provide oversight on required reporting for business and technology management review sessions
- Track financials related to technology expenditures including software, hardware, and resource allocation
- Performing research and analysis on technical solutions designs and partner with infrastructure and work with developers to Install, configure solution.
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of technology experience in a large, cross-organizational, prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts, and negotiating timelines
- Strong experience within a technology organization in the banking or financial services industries.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and diverse projects and initiatives including analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem solving, decision-making, and carrying out assigned projects and activities with minimal supervision.
- Successfully managed large scale and complex initiatives independently, from start to finish, with a duration of at least 6 months
- Hands-on solution engineering experience.
- Experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture preferred
- Expert experience in Compute infrastructure, virtualization technologies, Windows and Linux platform, public cloud, including hybrid data center networking, overlay
networking, security, and automation. - Understands the business, industry, and the role IT places in driving financial success
- Proficient with SDLC project and process management tools and methodologies
- Proficient in process, and IT planning methodologies; extensive knowledge of the enterprise's business and decision-making processes
- Ability to understand technical requirements (both software and hardware) and technology implementation steps relative to the assigned programs; along with ability to translate and summarize this into business and program level terminology
- Deep knowledge across multiple technical environments and strong business acumen
- Solid understanding of the end-to-end technology project process with ability to drive out dependencies and sequence the work in an efficient manner
- Translate business models to specific platform dependent models needed for construction; participate in the design of the distributed computing service networks; optimize existing solutions to reduce implementation timelines and costs, resolving problems in operations; resolve routine to moderately complex problems and issues in solution architecture.

- Proven experience leading and supervising large installation and upgrade projects with success
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal
skills as well as problem solving, negotiation and follow-up skills; strong calendar management - Ability to coordinate multiple activities
simultaneously - Prior experience in a global enterprise, DevSecOps culture, CICD pipeline, solutions engineering, ideally including modern scripting languages, infrastructure as
code, Cloud and operations automation - Experience in Kubernetes or OpenShift deployment, and application containerization for Docker
- "ITIL Practitioner or ITIL Service Manager level qualification a plus
- Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) framework practitioner or certification a plus"
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline or equivalent work experience equally preferable
The typical base pay range for this role is between $134K - $168K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
