Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Interact with all business and customer partners to understand their problems and needs.
  • Define the needs in a stakeholder needs document which is reviewed and approved by cross functional team members. 
  • Translate customer needs, business constraints, and regulatory requirements into product functional and performance system requirements. 
  • Conduct risk management activities including planning, risk analysis, risk evaluation and control. 
  • Lead the engineering team through the development of system architecture options. Objectively and holistically communicate trade-offs during the architecture selection process. 
  • Participate in system and subsystem architecture and design process. 
  • Analyse and propose solutions for product and customer issues. 
  • Decompose and allocate system level requirements into module level requirements. 
  • Plan and look after reliability and robustness activities. 
  • Lead the technical team through technical risk identification and management as well as issue and test defect resolution. 
  • Ensure changes are analyzed holistically and impacts are fully understood. 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering or comparable technical subject area).

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of engineering experience including fundamental understanding of Hardware and Software engineering. 
  • Knowledge in ISO 14971 Application of Risk Management to Medical Devices is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work collaboratively with others multi-functionally. 
  • Ability to work in the absence of complete information and make timely decisions.
  • Strategic problem solver and can execute with excellent attention to detail.
  • Organize & Ability to progress on many different tasks in parallel.
  • Ability to plan, estimate and accurately track deliverables.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and verifiable requirements.
