Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a fully cleared Systems Engineer to support an enterprise IT program. The program requires systems engineering expertise with a background in Authorization and Assessment (A&A) to support the accreditation of a High Performance Computing (HPC) environment.
Our client conducts forensic analysis of AI models on state-of-the-art computational infrastructure. This high-priority requirement will support the configuration, and installation, as well as partner with relevant client technical and security POCs to secure accreditation for a system with interim approval to develop. The estimated Period of Performance (POP) is 1 (one) year.
In this role you will work closely with other teams, including network engineers, data scientists, and government personnel. The Systems Engineer will work with the client for the execution of tasks, implementation, documentation, and configuration of a standalone HPC system. Duties will include:
- Working with the client to obtain A&A accreditation.
- Working with the client to create the visualization specifications for the system monitoring and system metrics.
- Creating and documenting necessary artifacts such as the Configuration Management Plan, Data Management Plan, and CONOPS.
- Advising and assisting the client with development of System Security Plans, and monitoring, tracking, and updating status of systems in the assessment queue.
- Coordinating technical security assessments of computing environments and systems to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Required Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience
- Demonstrated experience creating and reviewing documentation related to System Security Plans, or Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation
- Demonstrated experience using Java and Oracle PL/SQL languages
- Demonstrated experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Cloud certification(s)
- Demonstrated experience with the client’s A&A processes
- Demonstrated experience developing using REST Web services
- Demonstrated experience or familiarity with Red Hat, CentOS, or Rocky
- Demonstrated experience with web application development
- Demonstrated experience with development of System Security Plans
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, or integrating IA and security systems and system components (such as those for networking, virtualization, cloud, and enclave environments to include those with differing data protection requirements)
