The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer with Apache Kafka experience to develop business applications in support of a government customer. This position will also require providing architectural design, support and troubleshooting issues with both a new and an existing production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deployment & Implementation: implement Confluent Kafka from the ground up using approved Cloud Providers such as AWS and Google Cloud.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Confluent Kafka issues as they occur.
- Automation: Deploy and manage Confluent Kafka using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Design & Optimization: Design and optimize event driven and data streaming services from a Confluent Kafka perspective including capacity planning.
- Monitoring: Deploy and maintain Confluent Kafka monitoring dashboards and alerts.
- Subject Matter Expert: Serve as BEAGLE Program’s SME for Confluent/Kafka.
- Linux Management: Manage and optimize cloud deployed Confluent/Kafka.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes but is not limited to:
o 3 year check for felony convictions
o 1 year check for illegal drug use
o 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
- Experience with Apache Kafka, on-premise or cloud deployed.
- 3+ years relevant cloud engineering experience.
- 7+ years systems/software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar.
- Ability to manage multiple priority tasks.
- Self-motivated task identification.
Desired:
- Knowledge of Agile software development
- Knowledge and understanding of the DoD or IC communities

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$89,500-$188,000
