Systems Engineer, Technical Operations Team

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to provide technical support and delivery capability for the design, testing, delivery, support, and maintenance of production services. This role involves minimal supervision and offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Systems Engineer, you will:
- Manage Remote Linux Systems: Oversee Linux systems located in various datacenters worldwide.
- Unix Systems Administration: Perform Level 2/3 administration of Unix systems.
- Incident Recovery: Recover incidents and implement changes.
- Strategic Projects: Participate in strategic projects including system upgrades, firmware updates, OS, application, and security patch evaluations and deployments.
- Data Center Projects: Contribute to projects involving data center consolidation, migration, optimization, and consolidation.
- Hardware Coordination: Coordinate with hardware vendors for resolving hardware-related issues.
- Cross-Group Support: Provide support and assistance to other groups in problem resolution.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Systems Engineer if your background includes:
- Linux Expertise: Proficiency in Linux system administration.
- Unix Systems Knowledge: Experience with Level 2/3 Unix systems administration.
- Incident Management: Ability to recover from incidents and implement necessary changes.
- Project Experience: Experience in data center consolidation/migration/optimization projects.
- Vendor Coordination: Capability to coordinate with hardware vendors for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Support Skills: Strong ability to assist and support other groups in problem resolution.
- Technical Growth: Eagerness to grow knowledge and expertise in Linux.
