Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled Managed File Transfer Level 2 Support Engineer to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical support services for systems enabling Managed File Transfer and document delivery across global sites, diagnosing technical issues, and restoring operations to a steady state. You will join a dedicated global team that engages directly with operations staff and internal partners to drive system automation, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver reliable enterprise services.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Responsibility 1: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve Managed File Transfer systems technical issues to maintain steady-state operations, while writing custom scripts using Java, Python, or Automated Markup Language to automate system tasks and reduce reliance on break/fix teams.
Responsibility 2: Collaborate with internal and external partners during the onboarding process and coordinate with multiple Information Technology functional departments across large enterprise environments to execute Root Cause Analysis for permanent issue resolution.
Responsibility 3: Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements, quality standards, and operational guidelines while maintaining installation, configuration, and system administration procedures.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Application Support and hands-on scripting.
Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols such as Secure Shell, Secure File Transfer Protocol, File Transfer Protocol Secure, Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure, and Applicability Statement 2, as well as Managed File Transfer tools and Windows and Linux operating systems.
Proven ability in problem-solving, multi-tasking across parallel tracks, executing Root Cause Analysis, and utilizing enterprise problem management tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or Hewlett Packard Service Manager.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduation degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Skills Required
- At least 2 years of application support experience
- Hands-on scripting experience
- Knowledge of SSH, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, and AS2 protocols
- Experience with Managed File Transfer tools
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Problem-solving, multitasking, and root cause analysis capabilities
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or Hewlett Packard Service Manager
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
