As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping them design, evaluate, and deploy next-generation data platforms that accelerate business outcomes and AI innovation.
This role combines technical depth, solution architecture, executive communication, and consultative selling.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical sales process from discovery through deployment planning.
- Build trusted relationships with customer executives, architects, and engineering teams.
- Design and present solutions for AI, analytics, cloud, HPC, virtualization, and enterprise workloads.
- Deliver product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Translate customer business and technical requirements into VAST-based architectures.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales leadership to drive customer outcomes.
- Represent VAST at customer meetings, industry events, and executive briefings.
- 7+ years in Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience supporting enterprise and strategic accounts through complex sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of modern infrastructure, including data storage, cloud, Kubernetes, AI/ML, virtualization, networking, and data platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills, with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to architect solutions, lead technical evaluations, and drive successful customer outcomes.

- 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role
