Responsibilities

This position is listed as a System Engineer; however, this role supports Test Automation.

Candidates must meet the general SE LCAT requirements. In addition, the position requires experience in the following areas:

• At least 1 year of experience writing unit tests for Python (PyTest)
• At least 1 year of experience writing unit tests for Java (JUnit)
• Fault injection and mocking in both Java and Python
• Designing and writing both white-box and black-box tests
• Adding regression tests to existing software
• Large-scale test design and ability to perform failure mode analysis
• Security testing
• Familiarity with code coverage tools and integration with CI pipelines
• Familiarity with at least one cloud provider
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform is strongly preferred
• Experience testing IaC deployments, such as with Terratest, is a plus
• Experience working with XML is preferred

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Benefits Statement
