YOUR ROLE:
As a Systems Engineer, you serve as an important player in Technology Operations for our clients and within the agency. You work with the Technology Operations team in providing 2nd and 3rd level support for the Marketing Technology platform for our client. You interface with internal and external stakeholders in analyzing, troubleshooting, documenting, and reporting on existing and new operational issues / defects. You are adept with Service Management principles and procedures and utilize these to meet Service Level Agreements.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Operational Support for the technology platform which may include log analysis, issue troubleshooting, data analysis, monitoring and reporting on system health.
- Perform system maintenance, patching and upgrade activities for release / change deployments.
- Collaborate with Development and QE teams in issue remediation and provide timely status update communications to all stakeholders.
- Build system health monitoring solutions utilizing tools such as CloudWatch, OpenSearch etc.
- Responsible for implementing and adhering to Service Management process and procedure for Incident, Change, Problem and Service Requests.
- Create and distribute regular reporting to inform on SLA performance on Incidents, Changes and Problems.
- Continually create and maintain Runbooks on current and new features, including managing KBA and KEDB artifacts.
- Lead / Participate in Change Advisory Board internal and as required by Client.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5 years or more of experience in an infrastructure, development and / or operations role.
- Hands on experience working in cloud environment such as AWS; familiarity with GovCloud would be a bonus.
- Understanding of and experience working with compute, networking, and storage technologies in a cloud environment.
- Experience working with Databases, Data Lakes, Pub / Sub Model and ETL processes.
- Experience with building system health monitoring solutions / dashboard including automation.
- Understanding of SCRUM/Agile methodology.
- Understanding of ITIL best practices and experience with Service Management tools (such as Service Now)
- Ability to work collaboratively with developers, project managers, and QE team.
- Able to thrive independently given direction and objectives.
- Creative problem solving and analytical skills.
- Personal drive to meet deadlines and deliverables is a must.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills (Runbooks, KEDB, KBA).
- US Citizens only. US Security Clearance a plus.
- Hybrid work schedule. Preferably commutable distance to Chicago office location.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
