Systems Engineer, Co-Managed Services - Technology

The Systems Engineer, Co-Managed Services will serve as a senior escalation point and technical subject matter expert within our service delivery team. This role ensures client environments, including Azure, Entra ID, VMware, servers, Intune, and Network/LAN, are operating at peak efficiency while aligning and setting internal security and configuration baselines. This role will also serve as the key facilitator of integrations between core management and operational systems for our Co-managed Services Team.

Work you'll do

• Serve as senior technical escalation for complex client issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, VMware, Windows server and Active Directory environments
• Own patching and Intune strategy, configuration, enforcement, and continual improvement
• Define and maintain security baselines within M365 / Intune and ensure client alignment.
• Provide advanced technical leadership and subject matter expertise for projects as needed
• Ensure adoption, configuration, and best practice usage of core toolsets (RMM, PSA, documentation, password management, monitoring).
• Stay current on Microsoft features and updates to support troubleshooting and advisory roles.
• Coach and mentor other staff ensuring consistent quality and operational excellence.
• Support selective client-facing engagements for key infrastructure accounts
• Create and maintain SOPs, technical documentation and knowledge articles to standardize operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience administering and troubleshooting Azure, Entra ID, Intune, VMware, Windows Server, and M365 environments.
• Demonstrable experience with MSP style tools and platforms such as Ninja, Halo, documentation platforms, and others.
• Proven ability to lead escalations and provide advanced technical troubleshooting.
• Experience overseeing technical staff in day-to-day operations and escalations.
• Strong understanding of patching, configuration management, and operational baselines.
• Demonstrated experience creating project plans, budgets and presenting ideas to senior team members or leadership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to engage in client strategy discussions.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an IT/ Computer Science focused path
• 4-6 years of progressive technical experience and demonstrated ownership of complex infrastructure environments
• Microsoft certifications (Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) strongly preferred.
• Experience with MSP and multitenant management and automation platforms including Halo, NinjaOne, Huntress or others strongly preferred
• Demonstrated life-cycle experience managing Storage Area Networks, Cloud Storage, Backup systems and VMware environments required

Growth & Development Expectations

The Senior Technical Operations Engineer is expected to pursue relevant Microsoft certifications, contribute recommendations to the internal operations roadmap, and continuously improve processes that enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Salary & Benefits

The expected annual base salary for this position is $75,000-90,000. Salary offers are made based on a variety of candidate specific factors such as candidate's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
